The SR Technologies German Hard Rubber Tenor Legend mouthpiece is the newest addition to the SR line. The culmination of 10 years of product development, prototyping and evaluation, it completes the triumvirate of Legend German Hard Rubber models for soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone. Darker than our Europa, it features our own proprietary tip, rails, table, facing, baffle, chamber and throat. With the great resurgence today of hard rubber mouthpieces, it is perfect for those seeking vintage New York and Florida type mouthpieces, with unsurpassed intonation, response tonal complexity and color, harmonics, and subtone. The SR Legend Hard Rubber tenor mouthpiece has none of the tubbiness and stuffiness traditionally associated with vintage mouthpieces. In addition, evolution and revolution have all coalesced to produce the single most popular mouthpiece introduction in our history! With a tip opening of 106 inches, the SR Technologies German Hard Rubber Tenor Legend mouthpieces is supplied complete with Rovner ligature and cap. |

Have tried many tenor mouthpieces over the years including SR Tech Legend & Titan; Barone Hollywood. The Legend HR is by far the best. Big fat sound; easy to control. Works well for me on both Mk VI and Keilwerth SX90. Tone is much bigger and better with a Christoph Heftrig, Francois Louis, or Brancher Leggerio ligature.

Very rich tone all-in-one-piece! with the right reed, But try several of each brand and number- Hemke 3, RJS-3m, Brancher 3.5 (on the soft side. I thought the Vandoren V16 was too hard to control and (the) reed need some treatment today. More and more, SR Tech makes fine metal pieces that are very bright and edgy.

This piece has it all. Effortless with a #3 V16, Vandoran reed. A full rich sound that can get funky when pushed. This piece that gets funky when pushed. Beware; it takes a Selmer alto ligature on the tenor SR Tech Legend. Man, if I had this piece 30 years ago I might be rich and famous, today. It's pricey, granted, I think this will be my only piece, forever. If you can't make it sing, either: 1 it's a bad one, or, 2. you need a better teacher. After all, if Branford takes lessons ... who do you think you are? The sax is not easy unless you want to waste your time kidding yourself. This piece is fine as it can get without spending $600 for a custom one.

Well I just received this piece and blew on it for a few hours. A very rich, beautiful fat tenor sound that has a lot of depth and character to it. I've gone through the mouthpiece nightmare for the last few years trying different metal Links, Gardalas, Meyers, and others. This piece is what I've been looking for. These SR pieces are made very well, excellent craftsmanship. A little pricey but well worth it for the sound and response you get !I'm new to the tenor (blown alto most of my life)but now have the tone that I've always wanted! Thanks WWBW and SR tech...You’re awesome!
