I used to play the Runyon Metal Spoiler mouthpiece on my Series III Selmer Alto Sax, but it couldn't provide a consistently solid sound. My saxophone teacher strongly recommended the SR Tech line of mouthpieces and I decided to listen to his advice. Within minutes of trying the SR Tech Pro mouthpiece, I fell in love with it. Why? Because it delivered a solid unwavering sound and was extremely powerful. It screams in the altissimo range and maintains a warm, bright sound over all the octaves. Its sound flexibility of sound allows a musician to apply it to big band and contemporary jazz music. I recommend this to high school and college players who want to distinguish themselves and also to pros. My sax teacher, who's an extremely talented professional, tried out my SR Tech Pro Mouthpiece and said he'd definitely consider buying one for himself.
