This is a great bass! It is constructed out of quality woods, has great pickups and electronics, modern tone, good weight, very well balanced design... Overall, this is a great bass. I have big hands and thick fingers though. For me, I wouldn't buy this bass simply because the string spacing is really tight for me and my hands. I play finger style most of the time, so I need something with a little more room to move, especially considering the size of my fingers. For a player with smaller hands, or a pick style player, this bass would be the only (active) fretted bass you would need in your arsenal. Definitely play it before you buy it, and if the string spacing doesn't bother you, you should buy this bass.
If you're looking for a killer sounding six-string bass, the Schecter Stilleto Studio 6 is your baby. I played this bass along side several other more expensive six-strings the day I purchased it, and the tone of the Schecter outdid all of them! Some of the other six-strings I played and have played in the past, have somewhat thinner necks than the Schecter, so if you have really small hands, this bass might not be for you. My hands are rather small, so I have had to learn to adjust some. Why did I might that sacrifice? Tone, tone, tone is the answer, my friends. Play this baby through an Ampeg BA-115T. You'll know exactly what I mean!
