Comments about Schilke Double Trumpet Case:

Great overall case. It comes with two handles for easy carrying and four inner cushions to help protect your horn within the case against shock. A nice feature as well is the inner surface has space to securely hold multiple mouthpieces and slots for Al Cass oil as well. The only ways to improve this case would be for Schilke to go back to the flatter stainless latches and feet and to offer padding on the bottom and top side of the case in addition to the fur lining and cushions and thin cushioning under the leather trim to absorb blows and bangs better. Schilke used to offer both triple and quad models for pros who carry multiple horns to weddings and symphony gigs. I've had my triple for 12 years and its been a fantastic case. My quad is a recent aquisition (used) and is also super when I need to lug four horns around. A colleague of mine is still using his Schilke quad case that he purchased in the early 70's and while showing wear, is still doing a good job at protecting his horns.
