I’ve been playing on a 1970's Jet Tone Al Hirt Model A for the past 4 years and during that time I have been searching for another model from the exact time year(s) it was made. I asked a mouthpiece salesman at Schilke if the new Faddis mouthpiece was a good backup in the horrible chance that I lose the Jet Tone or get it stolen. Its outer rim is slightly smaller, but the sound of my extreme register explodes out of the horn just like my Jet Tone. There is little difference when I’m playing either of the two. This mouthpiece is definitely worth every penny so if you can, try it out at a Schilke dealer before you buy it
