"Schilke 47 Trombone Mouthpiece"

I switched from a Bach 6.5AL to the Schilke 47, and have no regrets. I played on the Bach for about 10 years, and badly needed a new mouthpiece. My brother raved about the Schilke 51D he used in his Euphonium, so I decided to give Schilke a shot. I understand why he loved it so much now. The material seems softer, probably due to the slightly wider rim compared to Bach mouthpieces, which made endurance a breeze. My attacks are cleaner, the horn feels more free blowing, and I feel like my tuning is much more stable. I'd recommend Schilke to everyone, just make sure you go to their website to research which mouthpiece is right for you. The 47 has a similar inner diameter to the 6.5AL, but a slightly shallower cup and (as with all standard Schilkes) a wider rim. For reference, I play on a Bach TB200B
