Excellent curved soprano!

I love this horn! I bought the curved soprano because of miking issues with the straight one. I could never use one mike to sing and play the soprano without dropping the mike and had only one line available to me. The core projection of this horn is right in front of the bell and makes it easy to mic the full range of the horn evenly. Intonation is fine and the ergonomics are great! Other curved sopranos I've played in this price range have the left hand stack in a weird place. I often missed the G# key with my pinky when playing fast passages. No problem on the Selmer! It feels great and plays effortlessly. If you want a curved soprano, get it! You won't be disappointed.

Purchased and had to return first order as defective. Re-order was promptly accommodated and it is a great horn. Stock C* mouthpiece not to my liking and aftermarket mp proved better. Excellent action and easy playability with good tone and ability to alter quality of tone to fit jazz or classical as needed. The price was surprisingly good as is the quality of the instrument and WWBW service. You may find the stock mouthpiece to be fine although I recommend testing others. I prefer a good quality 5*. No hesitation in recommending purchase if you need a curved soprano. The tone quality is very different from that of semi or straight sopranino saxes I have tried.
