Selmer Covers for Walt Johnson CasesFor alto and tenor Johnson cases, these covers feature two pockets (one for accessories and one for a flute case). Uses strap from the Johnson case. Selmer logo.

I ordered this as the old heavy black canvas cover/tote bag from Emilio Lyons I had on my older Walt Johnson case brokes its zipper and was wearing through in some spots after many years of use. I was thrilled to find this designed just for Walt Johnson cases and ordered it right away. Reality is a bit disappointing in this case..
1. you cannot tell from the photos on the web site, but there are no handles on this cover (unlike my old one). Furthermore, the cover has a "slot" with no zipper for the Walt J case handles to protrude through - OK, except that the gap is in the wrong place - it is down towards where the bell keys are and not at the bell mount, where the handles actually are on my case.
2. The case doesn't come with a strap (which it says it does not) and I'm OK with that, but the only D-rings to attach your old strap to are located along the side of the cover at one of the storage pouches. With sax inside, it pulls on the webbing of the D-rings and it results in a very uncomfortable/ungainly method of carrying the sax. It doesn't hang well from the shoulder. I don't know how long the webbing or the cover's material will last with that stress applied.
But, if you use a Walt Jonson case, you know you have very little storage inside, and at least this has 2 external pouches, which hold about as much as the 1 pouch I had on my old one.
Maybe if you have a newer Walt J case the handles might match this cover and it might fit better, but my experience with this product isn't to recommend it unless you are somewhat desperate.
