Ive played many horns, Including the full line of Kielwerths, Cannonballs, Yamahas, Yanagisawas, and Selmers. I'm a former yamaha nut coming off a binge and the Series III is the only horn to sober me up. I'm a strict alto player and I do not speak for the Tenor model. This is by far the best horn I've ever played. Everything is great, the intonation, the keywork, and the finish. I love the neck this horn comes with, there is no need to upgrade the neck. The intonation Is second to none. I also love the finish. Nothing too fancy, but no doubt the engraving work is great. No cons to speak of. I upgraded from a YAS-82z to a 2003 Series III just because it was the best playing horn I've ever held. This is the kind of horn that you won't ever want to put down. Great work Selmer!
