After going over several listings, I figured this would be a beautiful home for one my Epiphone dreads. I ordered, and waited (I am in Canada, so delivery is not the fastest). When it finally got here, I was delighted to open the box and find a gorgeous, stylish case, with the emerald-colored crushed velevet lining. Not the TKL-type plus, a different type of lining. The case suited my Epiphone Materbilt AJ-500RE like a corset: tight and secure. Nice hardware, looks a bit sturdier than the one on the Epiphone EDREAD case (that I also have).
My caveat about sizing comes from making a painful discovery: I tried to put my Inspired by Texan Epiphone into the case, which I managed to do after shoehorning it. Looked secure, not about to budge. However, I could not close the case! Same thing with a second Masterbilt AJ-500RE that I have, but which happens to have slightly different dimensions than the first one!
Don't get me wrong, this is a very nice and solidly-built case, but my advice would be to make double-sure (even triple-sure) that the sizes match those of your guitar. After checking dread dimensions on a few manufacturers' websites, I am not sure this case would fit a lot of common models.
Ordered this case just a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I had shopped local stores and found similar cases but for much more money. I really expected a bit less build quality for the great price but was I ever wrong. No, it's not a flight/touring case but it is beautiful and offers as much quality and protection as my Larivee OHSC, my older Guild OHSC and maybe more! I actually like it better. Definitly would recomend it and will soon be buying a #542042 001 for another guitar. In this class, Silver Creek Vintage cases rule!
