I LEARNED ABOUT IT AT TCU BAND CAMP IN SECTIONALS AND IT'S THE BEST.
This stuff is great. After a while, I do believe that its better to get the cream and oil separately for a long lasting job, but there's nothing like this stuff when you need a quick fix. Even then it'll last for at least a month. I always keep it with me. Great for right before you go onstage or to give to the guy next to you.
I once had to use an old school's trombone and the slide was terrible (I thought) so just washed the slide and tried this and the slide moved with ease.
I have used the slide-o-mix lubricant for a while now. Having the 2 bottles meant getting the right mixture. With the rapid comfort lubricant the situation is solved. The slide-o-mix rapid comfort is really great. I usually put 2 drops on each slide (beginning and end of slide) and voila !!! Its time saving in any situation practice or gig and much easier to carry around. I highly recommend it.
I have used slide-o-mix for over a decade and ran out one day and needed to purchase some for use asap. The only one available was this rapid comfort so I bought it. I haven't been too happy with it. My slide hasn't been working as well since I switched, and I have to lubricate the slide much more often (3x as much) as with the red bottles. I will definitely switch back to the better stuff.
