This guitar is impressive, for the money. Fit-finish, and Action is good for a guitar in this price range. One of the bullet strats I received had near perfect intonation, and just needed a truss rod adjustment to lower the action a bit as well as tightening of the input jack nut. The other needed both intonation and truss rod adjustments. The electronics and pickups are not top grade, but the guitar's tone is more than adequate and get the job done. One of the guitars, when switched to the bridge position, can be a bit intermittent, unless switched more than once improve electrical contact. This is not a concern of mine, since I (and most others) use strats for the neck pickup tone. The neck pickup is a bit bright, but rolling down the volume to 7 really helps smooth out the tone. Played through a Fender Amp or Fender Modeling unit (software or modeling amp having a Fender-like tone stack), this guitar is capable of very nice clean blues or rock tones. If you like the classic Fender Strat sound, this guitar can get you very close, as long as you match it with an amp capable of Fender tone. For the price, it is hard to find fault with this guitar. It seems that quality may vary a bit with the bullet strat and many other mass-produced guitars. I have been playing for 27 years, and would not hesitate to use or recommend this guitar to students and non-professionals who are looking for an inexpensive backup or practice-recording guitar. However, like all guitars, you will want to set up the guitar for proper action and intonation because it may not be adequate "out of the box." I leave this guitar out and play it more than most of my other guitars. I certainly don't worry when non-musicians pickup up this guitar and play because it isn't a big investment and the guitar is as durable as any other. For the price, it is hard to find fault with this guitar. It is a low entry cost strat, or low cost workhorse you won't fret over like your prized custom shop instruments. Fender is providing a great value to the working class by offering this respectable strat at a very reasonable price.
