The other night my wife said to me, the price of everything is going up. To which I thought, not well made guitars. I?ve never had a really expensive bass, I did recently buy an Epi Thunderbird Pro, but that is top dollar for me, so you have to take my opinion with that in mind. This one took a good amount of set-up, and I don?t think I?m done. But for the price I can?t see what?s wrong. The package it came it looked terrible, and alas, it did have a minor nick in the headstock. One of the tuning keys has the chrome peeling off, but on the back side where it can?t be seen. These things I?ll let go. Not sure the tone knob has a big effect, and jury?s still out on the end knob, some kinda Active/Passive dial? Not doing anything for me so far. This will be my back-up to the Epi, and my practice bass, but I will not hesitate to grab it, it works great, looks cooler than in the pictures, and feels real good in the saddle. I just know that a $1000 bass is not five times better than this $200 bass. Know what I mean?
