Solid piccolo - a great buy!

Before buying a Stomvi, I had played a variety of piccs, and was not really satisfied with any of them. I found them all to be stuffy, with too much resistance. I thought all piccs were like this until I played my Stomvi! The larger bore size allows a much more free-blowing instrument, with great response and excellent tone quality. It uses one slide to switch between A/Bb and has a 3rd valve slide ring which can be used to alter some notes. Pitch is quite good, with usual alternate fingering being needed to lock some notes into tune. I also enjoy the gold accents with the silver finish - the slightly longer bell gives the horn a very sharp appearance as well. Overall - a great horn that I will be using for many years to come!

This piccolo plays so easily and in tune. The response is very good and the tone is as good as any I've played. I believe this pic will stand up to any out there. After playing one I knew I had to get one.
