One of the "best buys" in the Strunal line, the Model 260 is an exceptionally resonant and responsive instrument capable of nuance and power. Features include a fully carved top with richly flamed maple back. Includes all ebony fittings and inlaid purfling. Includes Glasser fiberglass horsehair bow and thermoplastic case. Available in 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8. Made in the Czech Republic.

Features on the Strunal 260 Violin include a stradivarius design; fully carved, ebony trimmings; inlaid purflings; highly polished chestnut-brown finish; flamed back and sides; 4 string adjusters; and plastic chin rest. Shop-adjusted prior to shipment to meet MENC specifications.

Very good beginner instrument

I bought this violin almost five months ago, and overall I would describe it as a very good beginner instrument and an excellent value. I did have some problems at first with the "E" and "A" strings slipping... although the pegs don't turn as easily as I would like, pushing the pegs in while tuning solved the problem of slipping. The sound the violin produces was already quite good, but I recently put some new "Dominant" strings on the violin and have upgraded to a more advanced carbon fiber bow. These two upgrades made a huge difference in the tonal quality. I believe this instrument will take me well into the intermediate stage.
