The Studio 49 line of xylophones and metallophones are extremely durable but the pins and nails often work loose and sometimes disappear. Both are very easy to replace. If the pins are glued in place, as they often are, and they break off at the base, again a common occurrence, a small drill bit and power drill will usually dislodge the old pin and clear the whole for the new one. Don't throw out that xylophone or metallphone because the pins are bent over or some nails are missing - buy a kit and restore it to new.
