The Mellow-D is an unusual offering in a sea of available delay pedals. It possesses a warm analog tone, with an incremental "lo-fi" signal degradation presented in successive repeated signals. While its precise to-the-millisecond delay control isn't what some pedals qare, its warm, tone and musically useful attributes should make the Mellow-D high on a guitarist's list of choices for delay.
It features three very familiar knobs for delay: Time, Feedback and Level, which control the time between repeated signals, the number of repeated signals and the relative volume of the repeated signals and the original signals. What you might not expect is a sneaky little switch on the rear of the unit, which adjusts the relative signal degradation of the repeats. It is where the traditional meets the experimental.
