Starclassic Performer Series tom tom drums now feature shells of 100% birch and 8 plies/6mm thickness. Birch is slightly warmer and darker than maple and has long been favored by both recording and performing drummers for its excellent projection.

All Performer toms are fitted with the same Star-Cast Mounting System found on the Starclassic Maple Series. The Star-Cast Mounting System with its die-cast zinc hoops augments the exceptional power of the Performer basswood shells.
