The Taylor GA8-12 Grand Auditorium 12-String Acoustic Guitar is a contemporary take on traditional 12-string design. The clarity, balance, sustain, excellent bass response of the India rosewood used on the back and sides of the GA8-12 is without equal. When paired with sitka spruce, it is an unstoppable tonal combination. Other features of the GA8-12 include; an Ivoroid bound neck, heel and body; gold-plated tuners; an Indian rosewood headstock overlay; and a beautiful abalone rosette.
Although the Grand Auditorium body style has the width and depth of a dreadnought, its narrower waist gives it the appearance of a smaller instrument, adds treble "zing" across the guitar's tonal spectrum, sharpens the definition of individual notes, and also enables it to rest comfortably in the lap. With less mass from the width of the braces, the guitar top moves faster, resulting in a snappy, bell-like tone. The GA8-12, is designed to be a strong fingerpicking guitar that also can handle medium strumming, and is an exceptionally versatile instrument.
