models are on the larger side of the mouthpiece spectrum creating a deep, vibrant sound with a well-focused center. Conceptually developed to meet the demands of the modern orchestral player, these new models have comfortable rim shapes that provide a nice clarity in attack. The cups on the D1, D2, and D3 are deeper bowl shape cups for players needing more depth in their sound, but provide enough feedback for control.
Large symphonic C trumpet: High register. The 2W gives a brilliant yet solid tone quality. A good all around trumpet mouthpiece for strong players. Designed in 1970 by George Reynolds, long-time section member of the LSO team.
Designed in direct collaboration with Sullivan, Assistant Principal Trumpet for Cleveland Orchestra. Strong and full sound, thanks to the orchestral size rim and cup, but well-balanced, responsive and flexible compared with other large-size mouthpieces.
