These reeds are great for playing in concert band for classical music. I use this reed in combination with a Yamaha YTS-62 and a Selmer S90 mouthpiece. I have a wide range of dynamics, reasonable pitch bend for vibrato and intonation, and a beautiful, non-kazoo-like sound. I can do this all effortlessly. The reeds last very long. For jazz, I recommend the ZZ reeds in combination with an Otto Link metal mouthpiece.
I found out that this is a great reed
On an every day gig they last longer than the other cuts because they have a thicker heart. The thinner tip help easing the articulations.
The sound is beautifull and centered
I use them for popular music with excelent results (with a Ponzol M2 Stainless Steel 110 mouthpiece), althought I know they where designed for Classical
These are the only reeds I buy. Great reeds.
I love these reeds! They provide great tone and are simply the best reeds I use.
I have been playing saxophone professionally for 15-years and these reeds never fail to please. Some will say these reeds are not meant for Jazz, but I use these reeds exclusively with a Dukoff D9 and Guardala MBII and the combination is fanominal!!
These reeds deliver excellent power, tonal depth, articulation and control which make them excellent for the studio musician or the Jazz musician looking for a more powerful tone. I highly recommend these reeds, the definitely deliver in any situation or location.
