I recently bought this along with a brand new mouthpiece so after playing on my marching euphonium i washed my mouthpiece and wiped and then left it in the case. The following day i looked at the mouthpiece and found mysterious black marks on it. So I left it with another mouthpiece for a day then found the marks again. I tried to wash it off but it won't go away. Overall pretty okay product just cover your mouthpiece with a paper towel when putting it in the case.
I have used these inexpensive WWBW brand zippered mouthpiece bags for at least 10 years and have never had any marks on any of my mouthpieces. I put my mouthpiece in it when I pack my instrument after tapping out the moisture - not even using a swab with no problems. I have one for my trumpet, trombone, tuba, euphonium, and flugelhorn mouthpieces and my students have liked them also. Excellent product!
I play the trombone, so since there wasn't a trombone mouthpiece size, I ordered the tuba mouthpiece case, and it works fine for trombone mouthpieces. The zipper works well, and I like that it is a soft case that doesn't feel like it's rubbing the silver plating off every time I remove/insert the mouthpiece, unlike some of the rubber style cases. The case didn't leave any marks on my mouthpiece, but if you're worried about that just test the case with an older mouthpiece you don't use any more (you have a few sitting around, right?).
I highly recommend this product to everyone! I own and have used one for about a year now, carrying it my pocket every day, and it looks exactly the same as when I bought it. A cheap and classy-looking way to hold and protect your mouthpiece.
