S Series Cymbals are hand-cast and hand-hammered then they're carefully lathed to create thin to medium cymbals with dark, rich tonalities and satisfying warmth. |

Wuhan's S Series (S for shining) 12" splash is hand-cast and hand-hammered. It is carefully lathed to create a thin to medium-thin cymbal with rich, dark tone. After lathing it is hand-buffed to a shimmering shine. This buffing process boosts higher tonal frequencies and adds presence and projection. These qualities will appeal to drummers looking to add a unique, musical tone to their cymbal setup. |

I bought this since the price is great. I have a Zildjian (k) and Paiste (2002) 12" splashes and this one fits in perfectly. Lower sound and quick recovery. Has that Asian splash sound. If I were to grade all 3, I would say Zildjian (k) is #1, Wuhan is #2 and Paiste is #3.

This is a fine cymbal. It is an effects cymbal though and not a general purpose splash. It is very thin and has a darker, trashier sound than the 10" Traditional Wuhan Splash. For clean, washy, bright, hissing sound go with Traditional Wuan 10" or 12". For thin, dark, soft, trashy, original sounds go with the S series 10" splash. I use it effectively for low volume jazz gigs when I need a low volume splash accent. It is worth the money to have in your collection!
