Choose from the folowing Yamaha Warranties:
I like this product, I also use it on my 10" and 12" inch snare drums. Small snare usually have a terrible sound on cross-sticking so this is a great solution. However, for the money I was wishing it would be a little bit louder and a little bit more silky sounding. It gives a good cross stick sound, but if they had made a small air space in the center, between the plies it would have been a touch like a wood block- more projection maybe? If you have a 14" snare I would say don`t bother. If you use a 12" or such size then I would say it`s really useful.
I started played a Yamaha Oak 6.5 x 13 snare drum. I love the sound of the drum but cross sticking sounds were poor. I bought the groove-wedge and after putting die cast hoops on the drum, this made cross sticking fantastic. To me, this product probably works best on snares with die-cast hoops. There are two things to consider: First, if you leave the wedge on the drum, you have to use a 14 inch snare drum case or bag to accommodate the wedge. Second, you need to keep an eye on the clamping mechanism to make sure it's secured to the drum.
