Choose from the folowing Yamaha Warranties:
This is the best lube on the market, as well as the cleanest. I have three horns, a Getzen FD1052 Eterna Bass, a Bach GB42A with Gold Brass Bell and a Renee Hagmann Rotary Valve, and a King3B+, and this slide lube work great on all three horns. I even mix the Yamaha slide lube with distilled water and Superslick Silicone Slide treatment and spray it on the stockings with a slide spray bottle for clean easy lubing.
Nothing comes close to the convience of this slide lubrication.
Best overall slide lube on the market, and I have tried them all! I have 3 bones (Bach 42BO, King 3B, and a old Conn 72H Bass), and use it on all!
Apply on my everyday bone (Bach 42BO) about twice a week. I thoroughly clean the inner and outer slide once a week and relube with Yamaha slide lube, and then usually relube once middle of the week. Works great!
That's really all you need know - it is fantastic, even without a drop of water!
I've tried all the slide lubes and I absolutely love this one. I thoroughly cleaned my slide before using it for the first time using a snake, soap, and warm water. Then I just put a couple drops on the dry stockings, worked the oil up and down the slide, and I was done. My slide gets a lot of use (10-15 hours a week) and this product lasts me about two weeks before I have to wipe off the slide and apply a few more drops. I never have to use my spray bottle and my slide is faster than it has ever been using the other products. I highly recommend the Yamaha slide oil to anyone. Make sure you shake the bottle REALLY well before applying.
For all my Trombones I do the following:
1. Wipe off the inner slides and clean out the outers with a piece of cotton muslin wrapped around a cleaning rod 2. Rub a tiny smidgen of Trombotine between finger and thumb then cover the inner stockings with this (should barely see it) 3. Work the Trombotine into the insides of the outer slide then wipe off the remaining from the inners. 4. Apply one line of the yamalube the length of a stocking and work it into the slide with the corresponding outer; repeat for the other side. 5. Reinstall the outer slide and enjoy the smoothness! You won't need to spray water but a little bit is optional.
NOTE: All the lube in the world will not help a dented / damaged / misaligned slide so git 'er done!
