Comments about Yamaha WX5 MIDI Wind Controller:
My instruments are Sax, Clarinet and bassoon. I was really skeptical about going electronic until I heard Michael Brecker in concert with one of these things and I was hooked. I have it hooked up to a Yamaha VL70m with PatchMan's enhancement chip and an el-cheapo 50watt amp and it sounds like the best saxes I have ever played. The reed is very responsive and the air-flow sensors allow me to do everything from growl to flutter with far less effort than the real thing.
