Choose from the folowing Yamaha Warranties:
? quite free blowing. The tone out of the horn is very good. I was very surprised by how easy it was to get the low notes.
This is a wonderful horn. From the moment I played it I knew it was for me. The response of the triggers as compared to the open horn was a little weird to get used to, kind of like learning a new clutch in a manual transmission car. But once I got used to it, I am flying. The horn is a little hard to maneuver on as far as partial skips go, but the same applies, you just got to get used to it. If you can, try the horn out first, (like at a convention) because you might not get a good sound on it. Instruments depend on people, you know what I mean! Good Luck! and Happy Playing.
This is an excellent bass trombone. If you use a large mpce, esp. the yeo mpce, you will find this horn's tone in between the heaviest and lightest shires horns; but, the response is nearly as good as the lightest shires and it has great response and resonance in all registers. It?s very easy to play while keeping a big, full tone with just enough brilliant overtones. The 2nd valve comes off! If you need a lighter horn for a small group or something. Not that it?s really heavy- it?s medium weight. Congrats to Yamaha for a great bone. Also check out Steve Ferguson?s page and Doug Yeo?s page for more info about the horn and mpce.
