Choose from the folowing Yamaha Warranties:
This yamaha 6330S cornet, while similar in appearance to their lowly 2330II model, is actually much more even in response, with superb intonation and a clean clear sound. It has a lightning quick response and the tone is a bit lighter than the heavy weight Yamaha cornets. In addition, while the cornet can be pushed to a satsifying loud dynamic, it is not in the same league as the new Xeno cornet when it comes to making a huge volume of tone. However it is easier to play in the upper register than the Xeno, so there's a tradeoff. You give up some dynamics for an easier upper range. This is a small quibble and would only be noticed by expert players. Overall this is a great cornet and quite worthy of consideration. It's a large bore, but still feels tight in comparison to the huge Brit cornets from makers like Besson and York.
I've had the horn for about two weeks and am very happy with it. I also have a Bach Strad trumpet which I've lost interest in since the Yamaha Cornet arrived. Playing the Bach was a chore while playing the cornet is something I look forward to. I know they shouldn't be compared as they're very different instruments, but I've never been as happy with the Bach as I am with the Yamaha. Overall finish and fit is perfect. It has a nice lightweight feel and lively action.
