Choose from the folowing Yamaha Warranties:
When I first began playing the flute I owned this Yamaha model. I got off to a fast start. Whenever I would compare my flute to my friends' flutes, all agreed mine was better. I'm glad I started out on this lovely instrument. I know flute teachers who agree that this is an amazingly good instrument for those beginners who would want to increase their level of play. If you're a more advanced flute player, I would not suggest this model. However, if you're a beginner, I would recommend this model.
Originally, I learned the flute on an Armstrong 104, which was adewuate considering the fact that it was being borrowed while I was learning. Eventually I decided that I'd like to own my own flute, and after a bit of research I saw that the Yamaha 221 was the top of the line student flute. When I got it, I could immediately differentiate between the Armstrong and Yamaha. The Yamaha had a better tone, was lighter, and make articulations more clear. All players must have this flute!
I had a similar Yamaha flute as a beginner: it was a Yamaha 211 flute from ages ago that my mom used to play. I think the 211 is a discontinued model now but anyways, the 200 series beginner flutes play really well and have rich tones while some other brands may not. I've found this flute to be better than my silver plated Pearl flute, although both are excellent beginner models. The tones on the Yamaha beginner models are very smooth and flowing. I now play on a Yamaha 461 which, due to it being made of sterling silver, provides an even better tone.
I started out on this flute and played it throughout high school for marching band. It has great durability and a tone more mature than any other in its price range. Excellent flute for any beginner, easy to play, great tone, great value. Still has a special place in my heart though I now play a professional flute.
Great flute for beginners. I had this flute as a beginner and it worked perfectly, if cared for and repaired when necessary.
