I bought this mouthpiece a couple weeks ago and have been playing it religiously since receiving it. I have a 9 that I play with a LaVoz Medium and it plays amazingly. The intonation is flawless from bottom to top and the mouthpiece is really easy blowing. This is the best feeling metal mouthpiece I've ever used. The tone is very clean and can play a wide range of tones similar to Coltrane to Kenny G depending on your reed and playing style. I was worried that the mouthpiece might force the tone too much and be too bright, but you can be very free with the tone. There isn't much of a baffle in this mouthpiece and it has a square chamber. The ligature sucks though, like most ligatures. I recommend this mouthpiece to any saxophonist looking for a great metal jazz mouthpiece (but invest in a different ligature).
I've been using this mouthpiece (a 9) for about 1 and 1/2 years now, and it's still my favorite soprano mouthpiece I've ever played! Plays great throughout the entire range of the horn. I highly recommend it for all soprano players that want a clear, contemporary-sounding tone. Try a tip opening that's larger than the one you normally play on, especially if you double on other saxes. These ones are quite easy to blow. The 9 i play on is about a .068" tip opening. And yes, the stock ligature is pretty terrible... I use a silver-plated Fran?ois Louis Ultimate (size small) on mine, which fits perfectly and works much better than the stock lig.
