8Dio’s Kokoriko Percussion is a unique sample library dedicated to this traditional Japanese percussion instrument. What can only be described as a similar sound to falling dominoes, the Kokoriko has a distinct clickey/clackey type of sound that’s generated from manipulating the 30 different wooden bricks attached to a strip of leather. The Kokoriko was sampled in a variety of different manners using 8Dio’s standard 10 times round robins, and in addition there are synth drum kits and ambient material derived from the Kokoriko that are included as well.
