The WMS420, wireless microphone system, provides a highly flexible solution, being equally suitable on stage as well as in locations where a single channel or multichannel solution is needed. The complete WMS420 wireless system consists of the SR420 stationary receiver, HT420 handheld transmitter and the PT420 pocket transmitter. Waste of money

Comments about AKG WMS420 Wireless System - Presenter:

I have to give it a star? Drops signal like crazy. We lose the speaker for about 1-2 seconds, which doesn't seem terrible, except it happens 15-20 times in a matter of 30 minutes. This thing is just junk. Our hundred buck handheld wireless is better than this piece of junk.

Comments about AKG WMS420 Wireless System - Presenter:

This thing drops signal like a hot potato. It's not a continuous loss. It just drops for a second here, and then a second there. Before you know it, it's dropped the signal for a second, but on twenty times. The receiver and transmitter are 30 feet apart. Their 100 buck handheld mic is better than this one.

Good Sound / No Range

Comments about AKG WMS420 Wireless System - Presenter:

I used this for one event and I have contacted MusiciansFriend about returning the item. My wife and I DJ weddings and provide sound reinforcement for commercial/corporate events. I was tired of renting the last few pieces of gear we didn't have. So we purchased this lav knowing AKG is a great brand for wired mic's. When the sound was transmitted and received it was clear and great sounding. However the cons... The mic pick up pattern is very tight compared to other lav's. The range is much too short, we could not use this for an outside wedding when we were 60-80 feet from the mic with out it continuously dropping out. Yes I adjust the gain on the body pack and adjusted the squelch and even tried 8 channels with no improvement. I have used many Shure and Sennheiser wireless lav's and handhelds in the past and that is what I will continue to use. Hands down all around better.
