Comments about Acoustic B300HD 300W Bass Amp Head:

More power and performance than I expected when playing through my Hartke VX215 and/or my Acoustic B115MKII cabinets. Lots of bang for the buck! Nice back up for my Hartke HA5500...which is way heavier.
I like the the compressor and the overdrive features.....simple but easy to use.
No tube pre amp like the Hartke but i can't complain, for the price.
I play a Fender Jazz and PBass, both American Standards.

Comments about Acoustic B300HD 300W Bass Amp Head:

I use this head to power a 4 ohm Avatar 15" cab and an 8 ohm Avatar 12" cab. It powers both very well, and produces an even, slightly warm sound. The fan is dead quiet, and its functions are clasr and linear. Not asure of the need for so many knobs; I run everything flat at 12:00 and it sounds fine. It is not the lightest head around, but will fit easily into most gig bags at about seven or eight pounds. A great vakue when on sale or not. The newer Acoustic brand suffers unfairly from being the GC and MF "house" brand, but it is a full-function, powerful head (rated at 300 watts but feels like more) amplifier suitable for rigorous live and studio work

Comments about Acoustic B300HD 300W Bass Amp Head:

Been playing 48 years. My favorite gigging rig was an Acoustic B200 1x15 combo for the last few years. Bought this hoping it had the great tone and power the B200 had. It did and more. More power than a 400 watt head I've had for 20 years and great tone that can be easily dialed in to play most any style and genre. Full featured with a great sounding DI. Would definitely buy again if lost or stolen.

Played my first outdoor gig with this amp and an acoustic 410 MKii. Only needed to turn it half way. Sounds great!

Comments about Acoustic B300HD 300W Bass Amp Head:

Very excited to reduce the lugging weight from my previous amp which was about 40 pounds down to 7.5 pounds. Nice features. Nice EQ. 300watts in a small package. I put mine on a laptop shelf on a mic stand. Easy to reach all the controls. All in all very nice.
However the amp started cutting out after about 20 minutes. After the third try I called Musicians Friend to return it. Musicians Friends customer service was excellent. No muss, no fuss. I had to wait for the replacement because it was on backorder, but it still came in pretty fast. The new one has been working no issues for several hours (2 hours at a time). All in all I'm happy but it will take a little time to gain confidence in this one.
I gave it 4 stars, but Musicians Friend should get 5 stars for the service.
