OVERVIEW

New practice pad design for field drummers.

The Chavez Arsenal Series S-Hoop Practice Pad is a rimmed practice pad effectively replicates the feel of a marching snare. It features a carbon surface and a steel S-Hoop, and features a resonator chamber that produces a far more satisfying sound than the tick-tick-tick of a conventional practice pad. Rudiments can be fun! The resonator chamber is located directly beneath the center zone, which promotes fluency in the optimum center striking area of a marching drum.

FEATURES
  • Replicates the feel of a drum
  • Promotes playing at the drum's center
  • Attractive visual design

Comments about Ahead Chavez S-Hoop Marching Practice Pad:

This practice pad is really good. The feedback felt on sticks is very similar to the marching snare one. The sound is very good and very clear. Sure it could be used for an exhibition. What I really hated is that after more or less four hours of using the very first membrane (the "fiber carbon" one) started separating from the body, or, in particular, from the rubber under the membrane. After an application of epoxy glue the problem has been solved.
Apart from the bad glue, the rim is really intresting.
Eventually, I'm really sorry for my english, but I'm italian! :-)
