Comments about Alfred Myth, Music and Dance of the American Indian (CD):
I ordered this because the description indicated that there is dance material included in the resource. As one who likes to keep a variety of dances on hand for different grade levels, I thought this might be a nice addition with a different style. I also like to have a wide variety for when we showcase singing and dancing in our spring music festival. An example of the dance instructions included: "Trotting with right foot down flat, follow by quick toe motion of left foot behind it. Dancers follow the leader, who plays the rattle" That's it! It didn't give me a good indication of what it should look like. Not what I expected at all. The small indications of music given are also really only for classroom activities, not something you would use before parents. The CD has two tracks for most songs - one in English, one in America Indian - the vocalists are accompanied by a drum or a rattle only.
