Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Baritone Saxophone:

After initial trial I am pleased with this baritone. Pitch consistency is of a little concern, the low register is pretty consistent and the low notes are rich and sweet the upper register is a little pitchy--a little more focus on embechoure to bring it in to tune. Once again the low notes are very easy with reed strength 3, even easier with a 2--Right down to low A (concert C). After all the lower register is why one uses the baritone in the first place so this one is good for that.
Now, how long will this thing last before it starts to fall apart? Anybody's guess and I've seen that with cheaper instruments--they just seem to fall apart right in front of my eyes. Be very, very careful with it and be super gentle on the key work ! May last as long as the metal quality allows it to.

Great Low Cost Baritone!

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Baritone Saxophone:

I purchased the Vienna Baritone about 6 years ago and find it to be well made and great value! I have purchased several instruments from WWBW and I am very happy with the company. I have played saxophone for about 25 years and studied music at the college level. I play classical, jazz, and rock. I also play a Selmer Mark VI tenor, alto and an LA Sax soprano. The Vienna Baritone has good action and intonation. I use an Otto-Link 7* metal mouthpiece and Rico Jazz Select 3S reeds. I am very satisfied with the Vienna Baritone. Would I have preferred a $13,000 Selmer? I would think so!

A beauty- but plays very flat

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Baritone Saxophone:

We purchased this bari for our middle school ensembles last year. It's a real beauty! It adds a beautiful tone to our sound, but our only issue so far is that is extremely flat and hard to get in tune. I love playing bari, and I have worked hard to make this saxophone play in tune but it is difficult. For ease of playing (by yourself!), however, it is wonderful for the price!
