Comments about Alto TX15 15" Active Loudspeaker:

I bought these as an upgrade for 12" speakers that I had been using for about a year. They have a very "smooth" sound to them. Sorry to say that I returned them for a different brand. They didn't seem to have the "bite" and sound projection that I was looking for. If I was using them in a club I would be concerned about them being lost in the background. I tried pushing the volume up on them only to have the level limit light activate.

Comments about Alto TX15 15" Active Loudspeaker:

I bought a pair of these to use as stage monitors and possibly as light-duty mains. I don't know where they get "119 dB" max SPL and "Made to play loud". They only get up to about 75dB C-Weighted at 1M before the limiter starts flickering. They max out at about 85dB and just get more distorted if pushed harder. The high end is also extremely hyped and the low end is a little hyped as well. These are completely useless wastes of money. On a lark, I went to a local Guitar Center to test out a pair of TX10s they had on display and they are the same way.

Comments about Alto TX15 15" Active Loudspeaker:

I use to mainly play @ club events - sound was never really something I was interested in owning. Practiced mainly with my Pioneer set-up & my studio monitors.

I then started getting bookings for house parties, weddings & corporate out door events.

These were my first pair of speakers - I think they well put together structurally and I've known the brand for a while. I decided to try them and 1 year of using them I'd say they great if u starting out, the quality is decent for the price range - not badly spec'd - they do the job but I'm planning on selling them soon as I need monitors with a bit more technology like the EV ZLX 15'S - The sound from those sounds crisp and EV has been around forever and they more reliable.

If I keep these I'll get the TS218'S - Maybe save up for a full EV setup Tops & Bins.
