Big Sound-no kidding!

This little horn not only has a big sound but is in tune. It has a small bore and small bell and seems to have a specially designed mouthpiece which works better than any other mouthpiece I have, and I have plenty! Over the years I (have) had 2 other pocket trumpets and did not enjoy playing them because of bad valves and they did not play in tune. Amati is well made and the bell is like a miniature flugehorn bell so maybe that helps it achieve a big dark sound. I did not want a big bell/large bore pocket trumpet but I would have tried one if I had not been more than satisfied with the sound of the Amati. The big sound surprised so many other reviewers that I had to try it and I'm glad I did. The Amati mpc says "7C" but I think it must be bigger than a Bach 7C because I play 16.75mm and it is very close to that size. The Amati mpc also bottoms out on my main trumpet so it is different and I've written Amati asking about the 7C but have gotten no response.
