Digital Oscillator Meets Analog Filter
The MicroFreak's digital oscillator is prepared to generate sounds other synths simply can't, with experimental modes like Texturer, KarplusStrong, Harmonic OSC and Superwave. The digital oscillator is coupled with an analog filter inspired by the trailblazing 12dB Oberheim SEM filter, allowing you to make the filter scream or whisper. The filter can even self oscillate for extra sonic chaos.
Capacitive Touch Keyboard and Sequencer
Don't be afraid to try something new and unusual—the MicroFreak's capacitive touch plate keyboard is fast, natural and highly expressive. It detects pressure and offers polyphonic aftertouch for enhanced playability. The MicroFreak also features a powerful 64-step sequencer with two patterns per preset and four automation tracks to create and edit sequences in real time. Chord mode lets you program chord shapes to play on any note, while Scale Quantize mode sets a specific scale for white notes to simplify sound design.
Complete Connectivity and Customization
Unlike other synths, the MicroFreak's connectivity options are not off limits. It offers CV/Gate (Pitch Out, Gate Out, Pressure Out), Clock In/Out, MIDI In/Out and USB. You'll get all the visual feedback needed from the high definition OLED display. With 320 factory presets and 256 preset slots, you'll never run out of inspiration. Advanced users can dig into the modulation matrix with five sources and seven destinations (three user assignable) to customize sounds.
