A powerful active subwoofer that truly brings the bass.
The active BASSBOSS SSP218-MK3 dual 18" powered sub provides super high output, extended deep bass, exceptional sound quality, massive power, unbeatable reliability and an incredible value in all realms. Delivering massive, extremely flat response from 32Hz to 100Hz, the SSP218-MK3 yields consistency and great fidelity across all modern electronic, jazz, reggae, pop, country, rock, regional, acoustic and R&B music with accuracy, physicality and ease. Incorporating innovative technologies into the rigidly braced vented cabinets, the SSP218-MK3 is optimized to operate at sustained full rated RMS power throughout its operating range while the woofers remain within their X-max specification ensuring it delivers, day in and day out, in the touring and installed worlds. This workhorse is overwhelmingly durable thanks to the combination of extremely rugged, very high-power handling, long-excursion drivers, carefully optimized cabinet and port design and state-of-the-art DSP.
The amplifiers and DSP feature powerful 96kHz processors with pristine sound quality and eight touch-of-a-button on board presets. The state-of-the-art Class-D amplifier provides a true 5,000 watts of RMS power. The amplifier is truly capable of delivering continuous power, ensuring that it isn’t the limiting factor on your quest for low frequency. Additionally, by providing an abundance of power, the possibility of overheating and damage to the woofers caused by clipping is virtually eliminated. Control BASSBOSS software provides additional computer-accessible presets, networked remote control and DSP update capabilities. Each unit features dual Ethernet ports with a built-in network switch for computer connectivity and cascading networking ability.
IP65 waterproof connectors provide peace-of-mind in unpredictable environments, and the MK3 line offers 90–250VAC global power compatibility for use all over the world. Versatile and durable, the Baltic birch flyable cabinet is finished in black textured weatherproof polyurethane coating. A top-mounted pole socket in each SSP218-MK3 provides for mid-high loudspeakers to be mounted on a straight speaker pole above the subwoofer. The enclosures also feature four large rubber feet and corresponding recesses in their tops to facilitate interlocking the boxes when stacked. The woofers' cones are made from a waterproof fiber matrix.
