Waterproof woofer cone and impressive low-end output.
SV8 Powered MicroMain loudspeaker delivers remarkable bass performance and outstanding sound quality, precisely as the BASSBOSS name suggests. This single 8″ loudspeaker performs at a level comparable to others brands’ 12″ models, with full, rich and smooth output that belies its size.
The SV8 MicroMain is ideal for use as a studio monitor, but is equally at home in a live sound environment. It provides extremely flat frequency response with a neutral character for critical monitoring duties and it’s capable of remarkably high output. Weighing merely 26 lbs., this low-profile, unassuming cabinet can cover smaller events with ease and grace, boasting a wide 90 x 60° dispersion pattern that can be rotated to adapt to the speaker's orientation.
BASSBOSS MicroMains are optimized and protected for safe, high-power operation, and are designed to function as complete systems. Optimized cabinet design, premium quality drivers, power-matched amplification and comprehensive processing ensure that no matter the demand, they keep their cool, keep their character and keep on working.
Positioned clear of the woofer grill, the BASSBOSS SV8's port provides deep response without port compression or air velocity noise at high levels. The high-frequency horn is mounted to its own baffle to eliminate reflections from side walls and is clear of the grill to ensure uncompromising sound quality.
A pair of SV8s delivers high-fidelity sound with the added bonus of high output, plus the flexibility to extend their output even further by adding a subwoofer or two. A standard 35 mm die-cast zinc pole socket is provided in the bottom of the enclosure so it can be mounted above a sub or on a tripod. A wall-mount bracket is available for permanent installs.
BASSBOSS cabinets are CNC-machined and hand-built in the USA. Constructed from 15mm Baltic Birch plywood, using dado joints, screws and advanced composite adhesives.
Created to stand up to intense use. The cabinet is finished in an extremely rugged, black polyurethane coating. Its rugged drivers are protected by a powder-coated, perforated steel grill, and the rear-mounted amplifier is protected by a set of integrated handles to make carrying the boxes a breeze and provide clean, elegant lines to the enclosure.
The Class-D amplifier section consists of two channels with a total output of 700W. Exceptional dynamic resolution and detail along with precise control. Low current draw and light weight relative to the output capacity.
All the processing necessary for linear frequency response and phase coherent operation are pre-programmed into the DSP. With the comprehensive processing built in, BASSBOSS loudspeakers provide the ease of plug-and-play operation and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the multiple limiter systems make to system virtually indestructible.
At the heart of the SV8's robust 8" woofer lies a neodymium magnet and 2″ copper voice coil for uncompromising performance. High-intensity Neodymium magnets are lighter and provide higher efficiency so the result is a lighter and louder cabinet. A copper shorting cap provides for increased high frequency response and reduced distortion and a ventilated voice coil gap improves cooling and reduces thermal compression. The woofer cone is waterproofed to protect it from accidental exposure to moisture, such as rain or spilled beverages. The added benefit of a waterproof cone is that you can clean the driver with a damp cloth in the event it becomes soiled.
High frequencies are handled by a 1″ throat compression driver featuring a 36 mm aluminum voice coil and a Mylar diaphragm mounted to a 90 x 60° rotatable horn.
Massive output from a small enclosure that's handmade in the U.S.A.—order today.
