The 3142 Challenger I Bb cornet offers outstanding performance in an entry-level professional instrument. The 3142 features a .462-inch bore combined with a 4.921-inch hand hammered one-piece yellow brass bell and Shepherd' crook. The overall design of the 3142 offers the player a centered sound with a little bit of resistance to make this cornet a great choice for the trumpet player that needs to double on cornet, but wants a similar playing feel to their trumpet. The 3142 Challenger I cornet includes a case and mouthpiece and is available in lacquer or silver finish. Select finish from dropdown menu.

The scenario is common. A trumpeter who loves cornet, but for whom an artisan-level instrument doesn't make sense just by sheer virtue of the only occasional need formit. Further complicating matters is a love of and appreciation for fine instruments.
