Malcom McNab Model!
Malcom McNab offers his opinions on a medium bore trumpet - "I think most trumpet players need to be educated about the myth of - 'bigger horn & mouthpiece equals big sound'. Listen to the sound of Bill Vacchiano in the New York Philharmonic and you will hear the sound of medium bore trumpets with HUGE mouthpieces. For Bill, that combination produced one of the largest trumpet sounds in history. Harry Glantz with Toscanini played medium bore trumpets and played with a huge sound. It is really all about the combination of components - bore, leadpipe and mouthpiece."

Comments about B&S EXB eXquisite Series Bb Trumpet:
I play-tested this horn and it nothing short of amazing. Pulled a B6 from the music store's stock and played the two against each other and came away sold on the McNab horn. Very full lower and middle register, not unlike my custom Schilke X4LBGP and the ease and slotting of the extreme upper register bettered the B6 for me. If you are looking for a lead horn, do yourself a BIG favor and play this horn. Many commercial/broadway players are playing the Schilke B6 or some "clone"/copy (Shew-Yamaha 8310, Ingram-Jupiter 1601I XO) medium bores for a reason. This B&S betters the others hands down.
