Great Bach Strad!
Because of its two windings and more conical bore, this instrument has more resistance and flexibility. The tone is smooth and not as heroic or martial as that of the Bb trumpet.

Comments about Bach 181ML Stradivarius Series Bb Cornet:
The Bach 181 cornet is a great little horn that's fun and easy to play. It has a compact, rich beautiful tone that works in a good variety of playing situations. Choose the model 37 (ML) for all around good playing from brass bands to Dixieland and solos in church. The model 25 (Large bore) is more free and open for solo work and has a bigger more expansive tone which really fills out a hall, but also requires a little more air. You can also custom order a different bell on this cornet. For a dark rich powerful sound, choose a 72 bell. If you want a brighter jazzier tone, order a model 43. Lightweight bells are also available that give an improved response and freer tone, but are also delicate so must be handled with care. When placing a custom order, you can request first and third slide triggers, a 3rd slide water key, special engravings and silver or gold plating or lacquer.
