You can tap into new sonic territory with the 297's two CV mixers, each with four inputs and attenuators to fine-tune the signal levels. Invert the outputs for even more options. Mix modulation sources like LFOs and envelopes to create evolving textures. Sum audio signals for thicker tones. Blend oscillator outputs to stack voices. Each mixer lets you combine and tweak CV signals before routing them to any destination in your modular rig.

The 297's dual portamento circuits lend musical expression to your patching. The Time knobs adjust the glide rate, from a subtle pitch sweep to a dramatic bend between notes. Modulate the portamento time with external CV for rhythmic effects. Use portamento to impart synth leads and basslines with fluid articulation. With two independent circuits, you can apply portamento to multiple voices for lush, animated textures.
