The ICON bells were created with input from many of Buffet Crampons Artists at the factory in Mantes la Ville, France. ICON bells have the same socket ring options as the ICON barrels (gold, silver or black nickel) but the bell flare is ringless, specifically designed to optimize projection of airflow. The bell is also narrowed at the midpoint, producing a highly centered tone with a fluid upper register and rich, powerful low notes. The slender contour lines also produce a bell that weighs 30% less than a traditional bell.
