This reed is one of my favorites, but the wire slips after a few months and needs to be adjusted. Otherwise responds well after soaked in water.
we purchased 3 of these reeds one was ok but only lasted 1/2 a week, one was split(which wwbw replaced), and the 3rd we could never get in tune it was very flat even after her teacher trimmed it down for her. I will never buy these again!
awful reed, sounds like poo. It sounds like a dying duck and everyone winces when I play it. I only play it because it is my last reed, I am praying for the reeds I ordered. Very LOUD, horrible tone, even a professional coudn't make this reed sound good. don't buy it, don't use it. don't even look at it you are wating your time and money. If you want a cheap reed that is reliable get an emerald reed. not emerald jones an emerald. crooked. This reed will m,ake you want to smash it into the wall the minute you try it.
Very Cheap. This read doesn't have a very good sound at all. I would not suggest getting this. Save your money for a better one!
Even though these reeds are a steal, they are very inconsistent. The cane is sometimes too soft, not because it was scraped that way, but because it wasn't firm to begin with. I bought five at once, and every single one was not up to my standards. I do reccomend the "Chartier Pro" reed.
