The SFX Series Myrtlewood Acoustic is Cort’s vision of the modern acoustic-electric. This comfortable acoustic features a slim body shape, a modern V-shape neck profile and jumbo frets for enhanced playability, an arched back for improved resonance and Fishman electronics. Tonally, myrtlewood is similar to maple with clear and bright projection, but much easier to bend. The solid myrtlewood top is put through a process called ATV (Aged To Vintage) giving it that big and open tone of a decades-old acoustic. This torrefaction process delivers amazing tone right out of the box. Along with a Fishman Presys II Preamp with 2-band equalization, the Cort Myrtlewood Acoustic-Electric also includes a built-in tuner and a Phase switch for effective tone shaping and noiseless operation during live performances.
