Comments about DV Mark DV Neoclassic 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I got 2 of these to use with my new powered Kemper. One for keeping at rehearsal, and one for gigs. I was pretty blown away at the sound quality. Just one was way more than enough to play next to a very loud drummer. Not only did it keep up, the sonic clarity was great.

Comments about DV Mark DV Neoclassic 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

Received the cab yesterday and have been playing it at home, so this is a preliminary review. I'm using a Mesa Roadster 100 watt head. Considering the speakers are neo, I was somewhat surprised by the tone of this cab, which did not impress me. I've played through other neo speakers that have that characteristic 'neo' sound - super clear and clean across the frequency spectrum - but I think this neo has been tweaked to play rock. I play mostly clean blues, jazz, and R&B, and I'm a little disappointed that the mids lack clarity, especially when playing jazz chords on the 'inside four.' Yet, the top end is still brash. I played this cab side-by-side (A/B) with my Mesa Lone Star 2x12 open back cab, and the Mark DV sounds like a tin can compared to the Mesa. Also, I have a Quilter amp with a neo speaker, and the clarity, even in the mid-range frequencies, sounds great. These speakers do not. My overall first impression is that this cab is strictly mediocre, nothing more.
