Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine VMNTX United Abomination Electric Guitar:
I've had this guitar for a year now, w/ no problems at all (very well built axe). It has a nicely polished fret-board on a very fast neck. It's very comfortable to play even while sitting down (I know it doesn't look like it would be). The two vol knobs let you enjoy a much wider range of tones than other single vol knob guitars. It has excellent sustain and stays in tune very well. The Grover tuners are excellent (very smooth). The pups are amazing (not muddy at all), they deliver chunk in spades & the clean tones are surprisingly nice too. A couple of minor problems: It doesn't come with a case. It took about an hour at guitar center trying on case after case to finally find one long enough & wide enough to accommodate this rather large guitar. I also had to drill another hole in my guitar stand higher up on the vertical post in order to raise the base cradle so the points on the "V" wouldn't hit the ground (4" higher). Oh yea, I forgot to mention the paint & finish are also very nice, and it's really easy to re-string (no cover plate). I couldn't be happier. I hope this review was helpful.
